Lohgaon Shiwar Farmer Producer Companylimited is based out of Laxman Mahadu Gavli’s place at G.No 140. We are right in the heart of Lohgaon in Tq Kannad. It’s a small village and everyone knows everyone else. Most of the people involved here are just neighbors who have been planting and harvesting in these fields since we were kids. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone writing polished brochures. That’s not our style at all. We just saw a need to get organized so we could manage our crops a bit better. Sometimes the weather doesn't go our way, and having this group helps us figure out what to do when the rains are late or the market prices drop too low. It’s hard work and the days are long. We usually meet up after the sun goes down to talk about what’s happening on the farms. The office is basically just a room where we keep our records and talk shop. You won't find any fancy furniture or air conditioning there. We are just practical people trying to make a living from the ground. It’s a simple setup but it works for what we need. We don't spend money on things that don't help the farm. Every bit of effort goes into the soil and the crops we grow. That’s the way it has always been in Lohgaon. There is no reason to change how we do things now.
