Laxminarsimha Farmer Producer Company Limited is based at house number 26 in Mahalaxmikheda. We’re in the Gangapur area of Aurangabad district, which is a place where farming is everything. If the crops do well, the whole village is happy. If they don't, things get tight pretty fast. We formed this group because we wanted to have a bit more control over our own lives. Most of us have been farming since we were kids, following in our parents' footsteps. We know the land here really well, but the business side of things always felt like it was happening somewhere else, far away. By coming together in this producer company, we're trying to bring that control back to Mahalaxmikheda. Our office is just a simple space where we keep our records and meet up to plan for the next planting season. There’s no fancy furniture, just some chairs and a table that’s seen better days. We don't put on an act for anyone. If you come by, you’ll see us as we are—tired, maybe a bit stressed about the rain, but always ready to talk shop. It’s a group effort, and we’re learning as we go. We don't have all the answers, but we’re working on it together. That’s really all there is to it. Just some local folks trying to make a living from the ground under our feet and hoping for the best.
