Latur Pulses Producer Company Limited is located in Borgaon Kale, which falls under the Murud Taluka. Our main office is actually just the house of Santram Kale. Being in Latur, we focus mostly on pulses because that is what grows best in this soil. We are not some large-scale factory in a paved industrial zone. Instead, we are situated right where the pulse crops are actually being planted and harvested. This helps a lot because we can just walk outside and see the condition of the fields immediately. The office is a simple room in the house with a few ledgers and a telephone. Most of the time, we are just talking to the other farmers in Borgaon Kale to see how their crops are doing. When the harvest season arrives, the whole area gets very noisy with trucks and tractors moving everywhere at once. During the other months, it is a lot quieter and we just focus on the basic planning. We do not use any complicated words to talk about our business. We are basically just a group of local growers who formed a company to handle our own pulses more effectively. It is a very practical way to run things. We understand the ground and we understand the seeds, so we stick to that. We just try to get by and keep things moving without any unnecessary trouble or fancy talk.
