Gothwal Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is run by Laxmibai Ajabsing Gotwal over at G No. 102 in Bhiladri, Aurangabad. It’s right in the heart of our farming community. We don’t have a big staff or a separate building. Everything happens right there on the property. We are a group of local growers who decided that we should probably work together instead of competing all the time. Farming in Bhiladri has its ups and downs, mostly depending on if the rain shows up when it's supposed to. We spend our mornings out in the fields and our afternoons dealing with the side of the business that involves ledgers and receipts. It’s not the most exciting part, but it has to be done. We focus on the agro side of things, making sure we have the right supplies for the season. We don't use any fancy language to describe ourselves. We are just people who work with the earth. If you come by, you’ll likely see Laxmibai or one of the other members sorting out seeds or talking to a driver about a delivery. It’s a noisy, busy place, and it smells like the outdoors. We aren't looking to become some massive corporation. We just want to make sure the families here in Aurangabad can keep their farms going for another generation. It’s practical, everyday work, and we are just glad to be doing it together. We don't need much more.
