Gadiwat Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our company, Gadiwat Farmer Producer Company Limited, is located at Gat No 163. This is in the Gadiwat area of Aurangabad. It is just a regular piece of land where we do our daily work. We are all neighbors here who have been working the dirt for as long as we can remember. It gets hot out here and the ground can be stubborn. We didn't start this to look important or to make a bunch of noise in the market. We just saw that the middleman was taking too much and the farmers were left with very little at the end of the day. So, we put our names together on these papers. Most of our meetings happen standing out in the sun or under a tree near the gat number. We talk about the crops and how to get them to the market without losing money. We don't have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy letters for us. We just write down what we spend and what we earn. Sometimes the accounts take us a long time to finish because we’d rather be planting than doing math. It’s a simple life. We deal with the bugs, the drought, and the low prices as a group now. It doesn't make the problems go away but it feels a bit better to have others standing with you. We just want to keep farming like our fathers did and hope for a decent rain every year.
