If you head down the Main Road in Mandki, you’ll find Freshstar Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited at Plot No 142. We are pretty close to the Palshi post office. We are a group of farmers from around the Aurangabad district who wanted to see if we could do things a bit differently. Usually, we just grow stuff and hope for the best, but now we are trying to be a bit more organized. It’s a bit of a learning curve for all of us. We aren't experts at running a company, but we know everything there is to know about our soil and our crops. The location is good because it’s easy for trucks to pull in and out when we are moving produce. We spend a lot of time at the site just sorting through things and making sure the quality is okay. It gets dusty and loud sometimes, but that is part of the job. We don’t spend money on fancy signs or advertising. Most of our members are just regular folks from the nearby villages who have been farming for generations. We talk a lot about the prices in the city markets and how we can get our goods there without them spoiling. It’s practical work, and we just try to be fair with everyone involved.
