Farmvegi Farmers Producer Company Limited

We operate out of Chitegaon, specifically at Raghunath Kisan Kahandal’s place. It’s a very local setup here in the 422006 area, right in the heart of the vegetable growing region. We call ourselves Farmvegi because that’s exactly what we deal with—vegetables grown by our local farmers. Being a producer company means we are a group of neighbors and fellow farmers working together to get our produce to the market. We don’t have a corporate office with a receptionist. Most of the time, you’ll find us out back or near the crates of veggies. It’s a lot of physical work, especially during the harvest when we have to sort and pack everything quickly. The air always smells like fresh earth and greens around here. We deal with a lot of different vegetables, and it changes depending on what’s in season. It’s not always easy, especially when the prices at the mandi are low or the weather turns bad, but being a collective helps us out a bit. We spend our evenings going over the day’s collection and planning for the next morning’s transport. It’s a simple life and a simple business, rooted right here in Chitegaon. If you come by, you’ll probably see us loading a truck or sitting around talking about the latest crop yields. It’s just us, the local farmers, trying to make an honest living from what we grow in our fields.
