Chelekar Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are Chelekar Farmer Producer Company Limited, located at House Number 2268 on the Nashik Aurangabad Highway. This is in the Deogaon area of Kannad. Being right on the highway is handy for us because it makes it easier to get things moved back and forth. Our office is just a part of the house there. It isn't a polished corporate environment at all. There is usually some noise from the trucks passing by and a bit of dust in the air. We are a group of farmers from around the Kannad region who wanted to work together. Most of our day is spent in the fields, not sitting behind a desk. We only go to the office to handle the necessary documents or to have a quick meeting about the next planting season. We don't have any interest in fancy marketing. We just grow our crops and use the company to help with the sales and supplies. Aurangabad is a big district but Deogaon feels like a small community. We know all the other farmers around here. This company was started because it made sense to combine our efforts. It is a lot of work to keep it running legally, but we find the time. We are just regular people who know a lot about farming and not much about big business. That’s why we keep things simple and direct.
