Our company, Birola Farmer Producer Company Limited, is rooted right here in Birola village. We are out in the Vaijapur area of Aurangabad, specifically at Gut No 33. It’s a very rural spot, which is exactly where we need to be. We are a group of local farmers who decided that we should probably start working together instead of everyone just doing their own thing. The land around here in Aurangabad can be tough, especially when the rains aren't reliable, but we’ve all lived here our whole lives. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. Most of our meetings happen right outside or in a simple room at the farm site. It’s practical and honest work. We spend our time figuring out how to get better seeds or where to sell our crops so we don't lose out. There isn't any corporate polish here. We talk like the neighbors we are. If someone’s tractor breaks down or a field is struggling, we all know about it. This company is just an extension of that community spirit. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words. We just want to make sure that the people growing the food in Birola have a say in how it’s sold. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours under the sun, but it’s our life. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep things moving forward for everyone.
