Barkatpur Farmer Producer Companylimited is based in Aurangabad at Plot Number 08 in the Chaitanya Nagar Housing Society. We are in the N-7, L-2 area of Cidco. It might seem a bit odd to have a farmer company in a housing society, but it’s where we have our base. We use the space to coordinate between different farms in the region. It’s a lot of phone calls and paperwork to make sure everything is moving like it should. We aren't some big corporate entity with a glass front. It’s more like a home office where a few of us sit and work through the logistics. We handle whatever the local growers are producing. Sometimes it’s busy and there are bags everywhere, and other times it’s just us planning for the next season. We don’t use any special business jargon. We just talk like we do at home. Aurangabad is a good place for this, and being in Cidco keeps us close to the city links we need. We are just trying to help the farmers around here get a bit more organized.
