Atalji Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are located at Idris Kha Usmankha Multani’s house, which is number 23 in Mirza Colony. It’s in the Sillod area, over in Aurangabad district. Atalji Farmer Producer Company Limited is a local group we put together to try and make the farming life a bit more manageable for everyone involved. Being in Mirza Colony means we are close to the town but still have our feet firmly in the rural parts of Sillod. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist; you just come to the house and we talk about what needs doing. The weather here can be rough on the crops, so we spend a lot of time discussing the rains and the market prices. It’s a small operation run by people who live right here in the neighborhood. We aren't trying to sell anyone on a big dream. We just want to get the work done and make sure the farmers get a fair shake. Most of us have known each other for years, so starting this company felt like a natural thing to do. We meet up on the porch or in the main room to go over the numbers. It’s not always easy, and sometimes we argue about the best way to handle the harvest, but that’s what happens when you have a group of real people working together. We are just trying to keep things moving forward in Sillod one day at a time.
