We are a group of farmers who decided to come together to make things a bit easier for everyone involved. Farming on your own is tough, so we share the load. Our office is a simple place where we meet to talk about seeds, weather, and prices. It’s not corporate at all. We sit around on plastic chairs and figure things out. Most of us have dirt under our fingernails from working our own land before coming in to do the company work. We don't have a big website or a marketing team. We just talk to each other and the people in the local area. Kannad is where we belong. We deal with all sorts of crops depending on the time of year. Sometimes we have to deal with paperwork that feels like it’s written in another language, but we get through it. It’s about making sure the people who grow the food get a fair deal. We are just regular people who know a lot about the ground and how to grow things. It is not always easy and money can be tight, but we keep going because this is what we know. We try to help each other out when the rain doesn't come. That's the main thing and how we survive.
