Ahire Farmer Producer Company Limited is based at Gut No 677 in Ghatshendra. This is part of the Sillod Taluka in the Aurangabad district. We are a group of farmers who live and work right here in this part of Maharashtra. We decided to set up this company to manage our produce together instead of everyone doing their own thing. The office is just a simple building on the land, nothing fancy at all. We spend most of our time out in the fields or checking on the storage areas. We don't have any polished marketing materials or a big corporate team. It’s just us. We deal with whatever the local soil gives us, which is usually cotton, corn, and some pulses. The weather in Aurangabad can be pretty tough, especially when it’s dry for a long time. We spend a lot of our meetings talking about water and how to keep the crops healthy. It’s honest, hard work and we don't try to make it sound like anything else. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy, but we eventually get it sorted out.
