Being out at the Gidc Estate means we are a bit of a distance from the main city area. Our place covers a few different blocks, from 3501 to 3515, so it is actually quite a big site when you walk across it. We deal with medicines and pharmaceutical stuff all day. There are a lot of very strict rules about what you can wear and where you are allowed to go on the floor. We have to keep everything extremely clean, which is a lot of work given how dusty the industrial estate gets outside. I spend most of my shift moving heavy boxes or checking labels to make sure everything is in the right place. It is not the most exciting job in the world, but it is important work. The lab people are always walking around in their white coats, while we are down in the storage and loading areas. We have to use a P.O. Box for all the mail because the couriers sometimes get lost trying to find our specific gate in this maze of buildings. The lunchroom is where everyone gathers around noon, and the food there is okay, though nothing special. Sometimes the shipments come in all at once and it becomes a total scramble to get everything unloaded and stored. The machines in the packing area make a steady clicking noise that stays in your head even after you go home. We just make sure the products get packed up and sent out the door.
