Shiv Shakti Madhyamik Shala

Shiv Shakti Madhyamik Shala is situated in Jhalod, which is part of the Dahod district. Life here is pretty straightforward. Our school is where many local families send their kids to get through their middle school years. We do not have any big neon signs or fancy advertisements on the walls. The classrooms are basic, filled with the usual wooden desks and heavy chairs that have been around for years. Every morning begins with the same routine of lining the students up for their assembly. We deal with the typical daily issues like someone forgetting their pen or a lost notebook under a desk. Most of the teachers live right here in Jhalod, so we know the parents and see them at the market. When the weather stays clear, we often take the children outside to the open area for some activities. Otherwise, we stay tucked inside the rooms. The walls are decorated with some old posters about history and science that have been there for a long time. The edges are starting to curl a bit from the humidity. We do not have a big corporate office or a polished reception area. It is just a school. Sometimes the electricity cuts out in the middle of a lesson, and we just open the windows wider to let the sunlight in. We focus on getting through the books and making sure the students show up.
