Sahajanand International School

Being located on the Anand Sojitra Road in Isnav means we are surrounded by a lot of open space and fields. It’s a bit of a drive from the main part of Anand, so it’s usually quieter out here, except for the sound of tractors or the occasional bus going by. The school itself is a sturdy building with wide corridors that let in a lot of natural light, which is nice because it saves on the electricity bill during the day. We have a gate that needs oiling because it squeaks every time someone opens it, and the security guard usually spends his time chatting with the local farmers who pass by. The classrooms are pretty basic with wooden desks that have seen better days, but they serve their purpose just fine. Most of the staff come from the nearby villages, so they bring in homemade food that makes the whole office smell like spices around lunchtime. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning or anything like that, just big windows and ceiling fans. During the monsoon, the ground gets a bit muddy and we have to remind the kids not to track it all over the clean floors, though they never really listen. It’s a simple life out here in Isnav. We focus on the daily routine of lessons and exams without making a big fuss about things. It’s just a place for learning and working, nothing more and nothing less.
