Sahajanand Global School

Our school is tucked away in Vadadala Village, which is part of the Balasinor Taluka. If you know where the Thermal Power Station Padal is, we are just near there. It’s a rural area, so things move a bit slower than they do in the city. The air is okay, though you can see the power station nearby. Most of the families around here are farmers or work at the plant, so we know everyone’s business pretty well. The school building isn't huge, but it fits the kids from the surrounding villages. We have to deal with things like the bus getting stuck in the mud during the monsoon or monkeys occasionally hanging around the roof. It’s not a "global" school in the way people think of big skyscrapers, but we try to give the kids a broader view of things. The classrooms are simple, and we don't have all the high-tech gadgets some places talk about. We have benches, boards, and teachers who actually care if the children show up. It’s a lot of hard work keeping a school running in a village setting. You have to be a bit of a mechanic, a gardener, and a teacher all at once. We just keep at it every day because the kids need a place to go. It’s a quiet life, mostly, until the lunch bell rings and the noise starts up again.
