Mussoorie Polytechnic College

It is a bit funny because the name says Mussoorie, but Mussoorie Polytechnic College is actually located way over in Amritsar, Punjab. We are specifically in the village of Fatehpur Rajputan, which is a bit of a trek from the main city center. The college is more of a practical place where students come to learn technical skills. We have workshops and some old machinery that the students use to understand how things work. It isn't a shiny new campus with glass walls, but it is a place where you can actually get your hands dirty. Most of the students are from the nearby villages and they take the bus or ride their bikes here every morning. The staff consists of people who have been doing this for years, so they know the practical side of things better than just what is in the books. The area around the college is quite rural, so there are fields nearby and it is usually pretty quiet, except for the sound of tools in the workshops. We don’t have a lot of bells and whistles here. We just provide the space and the equipment for people to learn a trade. It is a bit of a humble setup, but it serves the community well enough. People know us for being the technical spot in this part of Amritsar, and we just keep going day after day with our regular classes.
