Educational Institute

Running an Educational Institute right on GT Road in Amritsar means you get used to the noise of the traffic pretty quickly. The trucks and buses are always going past, but after a while, you just stop hearing them. Our place is quite easy to find since it’s on the main road, but that also means we get a lot of dust coming in through the front. We have a few rooms set up with basic furniture. Nothing is brand new, but everything works. We spend most of our time sitting with students and going over their school work. It’s a very straightforward operation. We don’t have a big fancy sign or anything, just a small one so people don't miss the entrance. The building is an older one, so the walls are thick, which helps keep the heat out during the summer months. We don't have air conditioning, just some ceiling fans that we keep on high. It gets a bit stuffy when the rooms are full, but nobody seems to complain much. We keep a big water cooler in the corner because it gets really thirsty work talking all day. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in town; we just want to be a reliable spot where a student can come and ask a question without feeling rushed. It’s just us, the books, and the daily grind of the GT Road. We like it that way.
