M K Hotel

M K Hotel sits right in the District Shopping Centre area of Ranjit Avenue. If you know this part of the city, you know it’s where a lot of the activity happens. We’ve been here for a while, and the 143001 area code is pretty much our home. The hotel isn't tucked away on some quiet backstreet; we are right where the shops are. This means there is always a bit of noise and people moving around outside. Inside, we just focus on keeping the rooms tidy and making sure the guests have what they need. It’s a lot of laundry and checking light bulbs, to be honest. We see a mix of business people and families who are just passing through. Some stay for a night, others stay longer. We don’t have a massive lobby, but it’s enough for people to sit while they wait for their bags. The staff here mostly talks about the local cricket scores or where to get the best snacks nearby when things are slow. Dealing with the check-ins and check-outs keeps the day moving fast. Sometimes the internet acts up, or a tap starts dripping, and we just get it fixed as soon as we can. It’s just a regular hotel run by regular people. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just provide a place to sleep and a bit of breakfast in the morning before people head out to their appointments.
