Ramada Amritsar

Running a place like Ramada Amritsar right by the Golden Temple is a lot of work. Every day there are hundreds of people walking past, some looking for the temple and others just wandering through the local markets. Our days start really early here because the area wakes up before the sun is even fully out. You can hear the morning prayers and the sound of the crowds starting their day. We spend our time making sure the rooms are ready and the kitchen is keeping up with everyone who comes through. It’s not like a quiet corporate office; it’s more of a constant shuffle of feet and luggage. The staff here mostly lives nearby so they know the shortcuts through the narrow streets around the temple. We have to deal with the heat in the summer and the cold fog in the winter, but that’s just life in Punjab. Sometimes things get a bit chaotic when there’s a big festival or holiday, but we just keep going. It’s a local place run by people who know the city inside and out. We don't spend much time on fancy talk or promotional stuff. We just focus on the laundry, the food, and making sure the floors are clean for whoever walks in. It’s a lot of manual work and long hours, but we’re used to the pace and the noise from the street. It's just what we do.
