Kwality Marbles & Granite

Kwality Marbles & Granite is located right on the GT Road, directly opposite New Amritsar. It is a very busy stretch of road and there is always a lot of dust flying around from the traffic. We have a lot of heavy slabs sitting out so that people driving by can see what we have in stock. Granite is particularly heavy to move around and we spend a lot of our time just using the rollers and our own strength to get things in place. Being across from New Amritsar means we get people coming from both the old and new parts of the city. We don't really bother with fancy decorations or anything like that. The shop is practical and we focus on just getting the orders loaded onto the trolleys. It is a tough job and our hands are usually rough from handling the edges of the stone all day. We drink a lot of tea and watch the cars go by while we wait for the next customer. Sometimes the rain makes the yard a bit of a mess but we just wait for it to dry out and get back to work. We have been here on this spot for a while and we know the rhythms of the highway. It is not a glamorous life but it is what we do and we are used to the noise.
