Guru Nanak Tiles

We’ve been running Guru Nanak Tiles here in Darbuji for quite some time now. You can find us right on G.T. Road, specifically National Highway 1. Most people know we are across from the Majitha Police Line. If you’re coming from the city, keep an eye out for the Bank of India nearby because that’s where we sit. It gets pretty busy with all the traffic on the highway, but we stay focused on the tile work. We mostly deal with folks from the neighborhood and people passing through who need stuff for their houses. It’s a straightforward shop. We don’t have a fancy showroom, just the stacks of tiles and the space we work in. Sometimes the dust from the road gets in, but that’s just how it is being on the main stretch. We spend our days moving heavy crates and talking to customers about what they’re building. It isn't a complicated life. We show up, open the shutters, and see who comes by. Being near the police line makes it easy to give directions. If someone gets lost, we just tell them to look for the bank. We’ve seen a lot of changes on this part of GT Road over the years. More buildings are going up every month. We just keep doing what we do with the tiles. It’s hard work, especially in the heat, but we’re used to it by now.
