Arjun Marble & Granite

Arjun Marble & Granite is located right on the GT Road, directly opposite the New Amritsar area. Being on such a major road means there is never a quiet moment. Trucks are constantly rumbling past our front door on their way into the city or out toward the border. We have a big space filled with different types of marble and granite that we’ve collected over time. In the winter months the stone gets freezing cold to the touch and the fog off the road can be so thick you can barely see the traffic. We spend most of our time outside in the yard checking on the slabs and making sure nothing is cracked or chipped. People traveling along the GT Road often pull their cars over when they see our signs and the rows of stone. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that, just the stones and the space we work in. The ground is usually covered in bits of gravel and stone dust from moving the heavy loads around. It’s a rough kind of work but it keeps us busy from early morning until the sun sets over the road. We just stay here near New Amritsar, dealing with the deliveries and watching the endless line of vehicles go by while we handle the daily business of moving stone. It’s a lot of the same thing every day but we like the routine of it.
