Krishna Tiles

We are set up right on the GT Road, adjoining the Dana Mandi. If you’re familiar with the area near Jandiala Guru, you probably know where the Coca Cola Depot is—we’re very close to that. Being on the GT Road means it’s never quiet. There is a constant stream of trucks and buses flying past. The Dana Mandi nearby gets incredibly busy during the harvest season, and the whole area fills up with tractors and grain. Our shop sits right in the thick of it. We keep a lot of tiles on display out front so people can see them from the road. It’s a lot of work keeping the dust off them with all the traffic. I usually have a cup of tea in the morning while watching the road wake up. We aren't a corporate chain. It’s just a local shop where we know the name of the guy who delivers the stock. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. We just have tiles and we sell them to people who need them for their homes or shops. Sometimes we sit out on the benches near the front and talk to the drivers who pull over for a break. It’s a busy life here near Jandiala Guru, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. The sun sets right over the highway and that's usually when we start locking up for the night. We've been here through many winters and summers.
