Army Public School

Army Public School is situated over at the Steno House Agency area in Amritsar. It is a place where we spend most of our daylight hours. To be honest, it is just a regular school building with classrooms and desks that have seen better days. Every morning, the gates open at 143001, and you see the kids coming in with their heavy bags. Some are running, others are dragging their feet because they didn't sleep enough. We have teachers who have been here for years and know every corner of the hallways. Amritsar weather can be tough, especially in the summers when the fans just push hot air around, but we manage. The playground gets dusty during the break, and the noise level goes up so much you can't hear yourself think. We don't have fancy gadgets in every room, just the usual chalkboards and some old posters on the walls. It’s a busy spot near the agency, and there is always something going on, whether it is a small play or just a busy Monday morning. The staff room is usually full of half-drunk tea cups and stacks of notebooks waiting to be checked. We just try to get through the syllabus and make sure the kids learn something useful before they head home. It is not a perfect place, but it is ours and we do the work every single day without much fuss.
