Ultratech Cement

We are set up at E 155 in the Gcw Township, which is part of the Gujarat Cement Works. It is located in Kovaya, under the Rajula Taluka in Gujarat. Working for Ultratech Cement here means we are right in the middle of a huge industrial operation. The township is where a lot of us live as well as work, so there isn't much of a gap between the two. You can always see the smoke and dust from the plant in the distance, and the sound of machinery is just part of the background noise now. Our office is a simple place where we handle the paperwork for the Gujarat Cement Works. It gets quite busy with people coming in to sign off on deliveries or check on production numbers. The 365541 area is a bit remote, so the township becomes its own little world. We have got a routine that rarely changes. We wake up, head over to the office or the site, and get to it. There is no need for fancy talk when you are dealing with cement and stone all day. We just try to keep the wheels turning. Some of the guys have been here since the plant first opened, so there is a lot of history in these buildings. It is not a glamorous job, but it is steady and it keeps the local economy going in this part of Rajula. We take things as they come and handle the daily challenges of running such a large operation.
