Ambuja Cement Limited

We are located right on Chital Road in Amreli. The building is called Krishna Krupa, and you cannot really miss it if you are driving through Jyotirou Nagar. It is number 17. The area is quite busy, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading to work. We have been here in Gujarat for a while now. The weather gets really dry, so there is always a layer of dust on the windows that we try to keep clean. It is a constant struggle. Inside, it is mostly just desks and stacks of paperwork. We spend our time coordinating with drivers and making sure the cement gets where it needs to go. Sometimes the phone rings all day, and other times it is quiet enough to hear the traffic outside. We do not have any big corporate signs or fancy lobbies. It is a practical space for practical work. The neighbors are mostly families, so we try not to make too much noise late at night. Every now and then, someone stops by asking for directions because the street layout can be a bit confusing for outsiders. We just point them the right way. Working at Ambuja Cement Limited here means knowing the local routes and the local people. We handle the loading and unloading ourselves most of the time. It keeps us busy. The sun sets right behind the building, which is probably the nicest part of the day before we finally lock up the doors.
