We are located at number 15 in Vanyavihir, which is in the Akkalkuwa taluka of Nandurbar. It is quite a distance from the big cities, but that is where the real work happens. Vanyavihir Farmer Producer Company Limited is basically a group of us who decided to work together. Nandurbar has its own challenges with the weather and the terrain, and we deal with that every day. Our building is simple and doesn't have any big signs. It is just a place for us to gather and figure out the next steps for our crops. We don't use marketing talk because we don't have time for it. We are usually out in the fields or checking on the storage. The 425415 area is rugged and beautiful in its own way. We try to help out the local farmers in Akkalkuwa however we can. It might be advice on seeds or just helping with transport. It’s not a polished operation. We make mistakes sometimes, but we learn and move on. People here know us by name, not by some corporate title. It’s very much a grassroots thing. We just wanted to have a bit more control over how our produce is handled. So, we set this up and we’ve been at it ever since. It’s just honest work in a part of the country that people sometimes forget about. We stay busy year-round.
