Sohamswarna Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are basically a group of farmers from around Amravati who decided to start Sohamswarna Farmer Producer Company Limited. It’s run out of Shriram Apartment in Ganediwal Layout, specifically at Ashish Laxmanrao Umak's place. There isn't much to say except that we spend most of our days dealing with the soil and the crops. Farming in this part of Maharashtra is never easy, especially with the way the rain behaves lately. We figured if we worked together, maybe things wouldn't be so hard for everyone. Some of us have been doing this for decades, following what our fathers did. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that, just a regular flat where we meet up to talk about seeds, fertilizers, and where to sell what we grow. It gets pretty loud sometimes when everyone is talking at once about market rates or the electricity problems we face in the fields. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just making sure our families can get by and the farm work stays steady. If you come by the Camp area in Amravati, you’ll likely find someone there sorting out paperwork or just drinking tea. It’s mostly just us trying to keep the agricultural life going without too many headaches. Sometimes the paperwork gets confusing but we manage. That is just how it goes for us here day to day.
