We are over here at Ward No. 1 in Pusla, right at House 91. It is a quiet spot in Warud where most of us have lived our whole lives. Shri Yashwant Baba Farmer Producer Company Limited isn't a big corporation with suits. It is just a group of us who work the land every day. We decided to put our names together so we could handle the crops and the selling part a bit better than when we were on our own. Usually, you’ll find some of us sitting outside talking about the rain or the price of fertilizer. The weather is always a gamble and some years are better than others. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. You just walk up to the door. We deal with whatever is in season. Sometimes it’s a lot of work getting everything sorted and the paperwork is a bit of a headache, but we get through it. It helps having neighbors involved because everyone understands the struggle of the harvest. We just try to keep the business going so the families here can stay on their feet. It is practical work. Nothing fancy. We grow what we can and sell it where we can. If you pass by Ward No.1, you’ll see us there. Just local people doing what we know how to do. It’s a simple life and we like it that way.
