Rukhmini Krushivikas Producer Company Limited is located in Singona. Our main spot is house number 131. Most of the people around Singona and Partur know who we are because we’ve been here our whole lives. We started this whole thing because we were tired of the middle men taking too much of the money from our crops. Now we try to manage the sales ourselves as a small group. Jalna is a big area for farming and we are just one small part of that bigger picture. The land around here is good if the rain stays steady. We deal with whatever the local guys are growing, like bajra or cotton. It gets incredibly hot here during the summer months, so we usually start our work before the sun is even up. We are not trying to be a big corporate company. We are just a bunch of neighbors in Singona trying to get a fair price for our hard work. Sometimes things go wrong, like a tractor breaking down or the market prices falling out of nowhere. We just keep going because we have to. You can usually find us near the main road. The office is open most days but we might be out in the fields if it is harvest time. We don't have fancy titles or uniforms. We just wear our regular clothes and work hard every day for our families.
