We set up Rahuba Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited at Plot No. 37 in the New Ganesh Colony. It’s right near Ravi Nagar here in Amravati. Most of us involved in the company have been in the area for a long time. We know the people and we know the land. We didn't start this to get rich quick or anything. We just saw that the farmers around here were having a hard time getting a fair price for their crops. By forming a producer company, we can work together and have a bit more weight behind us. Our office is just a simple building in a regular residential colony. It's easy for people to stop by and have a chat about what's going on in the fields. We don't have a marketing department or a fancy website. Most of what we do is just word of mouth and face-to-face meetings. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it works for Amravati. Sometimes the work is slow, and other times we are running around like crazy during harvest time. That is just the way it goes with farming. We are just a group of locals trying to help each other out and make sure the farming community stays strong. There is no corporate polish here, just a bunch of people trying to make things work in a practical way for everyone involved in the company.
