If you are driving down the Nagpur-Warud road, you’ll see us near the railway gate. Pusla Shetkari Producer Company Limited is based right there at Survey Number 23 in Roshankheda village. Being so close to the tracks means we hear the trains go by all day long, which is just part of the background noise for us now. This area around Warud is known for its fruit and crops, and we are right in the middle of it. We started this company because we wanted a place close to the road where we could gather what we grow and get it moving to the markets in Amravati or Nagpur. It is a practical spot for a group of farmers. We don’t have a lot of fancy furniture or air conditioning. Most of the time, we are outside or in the shed checking on the bags of produce. The dust from the road gets everywhere, but you get used to it. We just focus on the basics of what a farmer needs. Sometimes we have to wait a while at the crossing when a long train passes, and that is usually when we catch up on the local gossip or talk about the weather. It is a simple life but a busy one. People know us as the guys by the gate. We just do our best with what the land gives us.
