If you want to find us, we are located at the house of Suryaprakash J Jawanjal in Shendola Khurd. That’s in the Tiosa tehsil of the Amravati district. We call ourselves Priydarshi Farmer Producer Company Limited. It’s a very local operation based right in the heart of the village. Most of the people involved here are farmers themselves, so we know the struggles of dealing with pests or waiting for the rain to finally fall. Amravati is big on cotton and oranges, and we spend a lot of our time figuring out how to get those to market. Our office isn't anything fancy; it’s just a room where we can sit down and talk business without any distractions. We don’t go in for big advertisements or anything like that. Word of mouth is how most people find us. We’re just trying to help each other out so that we don't have to rely so much on the middlemen who don't always have our interests at heart. Some days are more successful than others, and sometimes things go wrong, but we just deal with it as it comes. It’s a quiet life in Shendola Khurd, but we keep busy with the seasonal cycles. We aren’t looking to expand into some massive corporation; we just want our local community to do well and for our kids to see that farming can be a sustainable way of life.
