Pingdayee Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is a local group of us farmers out here in Hiwarkhed. We are located in the Amravati district of Maharashtra. Being a farmer producer company means we are owned and run by the people who actually work the fields. Hiwarkhed is a small place, and everyone knows everyone else’s business, especially when it comes to the crops. We started this company because we wanted to have more control over what happens after we harvest. Usually, we’re at the mercy of the big buyers, but together we have a bit more say. We don't have a fancy headquarters or anything like that. We mostly meet up at one of the local spots in Hiwarkhed to talk about seeds, fertilizers, and the weather. The rains in Amravati can be unpredictable, so we try to help each other out when things get tough. It’s not about making a huge profit; it’s about making sure the farming community here stays strong. We’re just regular folks who spend most of our time in the dirt. If you come to Hiwarkhed looking for us, just ask any of the farmers around. We are all part of the same effort. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Our work in the fields speaks for itself. It’s just a practical way for us to survive and hopefully do a little better each year. We've been here a while now.
