Krushivikas Cultivators Producer Company Limited is run out of house number 63 in Marda, which is in the Teosa taluka. It’s the home of Ravindra Vasantrao Handemarda. We are just a bunch of cultivators who decided it was better to be a company than just individuals working on our own. It makes the paperwork and the selling a bit more manageable. We don't have any glossy advertisements or a fancy mission statement. We just show up, do the work in the fields, and then meet up at Ravindra’s to talk about what’s next. Sometimes it's about the seeds we need or how to get a tractor fixed. It is very straightforward and down-to-earth. We aren't trying to impress anyone with big words. We are just people from Teosa who know the value of a long day's work. The company is a practical thing for us. It helps us keep track of everything and maybe get a better price when we go to market. There are good years and bad years, and we have seen them all. Being together as Krushivikas just gives us a bit more strength. We are learning how to handle the business part as we go along, and it’s not always perfect. But it is ours, and we are doing it right here in Marda. It's just a simple group of farmers trying to stay on their feet.
