Krushi Star Farmer Producer Company Limited is located right near the Gram Panchayat office in Sahit Barshitakli. We are based out of Madhukar Kashiram Wahurwagh’s place. It is a convenient spot because everyone in the village passes by there anyway. We are a small group of farmers from around the Barshitakli area who decided that working together was better than struggling alone. We don't have any big corporate goals or anything like that. We just want to make sure we can get our seeds at a fair price and sell our harvest without getting cheated. Most of our days are spent out in the sun, checking on the crops and hoping for a good yield. When we aren't in the fields, we are probably near the Gram Panchayat office talking about the latest government rules or the price of fertilizer. It is a very down-to-earth operation. We don't use fancy English or have a big marketing budget. We are just local people who know the soil of Sahit Barshitakli and want to keep our farms going for another generation. Sometimes it is stressful when the crops fail or the prices drop, but being part of Krushi Star means we have some support. We just take things as they come and try to do the best we can with the land we have been given. It is just the way life goes for us.
