Kawtha Krushivikas Producer Company Limited

Our group is called Kawtha Krushivikas Producer Company Limited, and we are located in Kawtha Bk. within the Sengaon area. We work out of Shri Pralhad Chandraappa Budruk’s house, specifically House Number 282. It’s a local operation through and through. In a place like Sengaon, agriculture is pretty much everything. We saw that if we didn't start working together, the bigger players would just keep taking advantage of us. So, Pralhad and a few of us decided to turn our informal cooperation into a real company. It’s a bit of a headache with all the government rules and filings, but it’s worth it. We focus on the crops that grow best in our local soil. We don't have a fancy warehouse yet; we mostly coordinate things from the house and use whatever space is available. It’s a lot of manual work and late-night planning sessions over tea. We’re trying to help the farmers in Kawtha Bk. get better access to stuff they need and a better way to sell what they grow. No one here is looking to get rich quick. We just want to make sure our kids can keep farming if they want to. It’s a struggle sometimes, especially when the rains don't come or the market prices drop suddenly, but having this company gives us a bit of a platform to stand on together. We just take it one harvest at a time.
