Jay Bajrang Cultivators Producer Companylimited is based in the Mehrabpura area of Achalpur. We use House Number 148, which belongs to Shri B K Bhonde. It’s a sturdy old place in a neighborhood that has seen a lot of changes over the years. Amravati is a busy district, but here in Achalpur, things move at a slightly different pace. We are a group of cultivators who decided that we should probably have a formal name for what we were already doing together in the fields. Most of the people involved have their own plots of land nearby. We meet at the house to discuss the harvest or what seeds we need to buy for the coming months. It’s not a polished corporate office with air conditioning and fancy furniture. It’s just a house where we keep our ledgers and have tea while we talk shop about the crops and the prices. We don't really do much marketing or anything like that because everyone in Mehrabpura already knows who we are and what we do. We’ve been living and working in this part of Amravati for a long time now. It’s hard work, especially when the sun is beating down on the fields, but being part of this company makes the administrative side of things a bit easier to manage. We just focus on the cultivation and making sure the crops get where they need to go without too much fuss or trouble for the local farmers involved.
