Our place is located at Balkrushna Asuraj Tembhurne's spot, right near the old paper mill in Gadchiroli. If you know where Sr. No. 133/13B is, that is exactly where we stay most of the day. Jan Shilpkar is a group of us who came together because farming is tough on your own. Gadchiroli is a bit far out for some people but it is home to us. We spend a lot of time discussing the crops and how to get a better price at the market. It isn't a big office with air conditioning. Usually, there are just a few chairs and some files stacked on the corner table. The paper mill is a good landmark if you are looking for us. We started this producer company because we wanted to do things together. It's more of a community thing than a business if you ask me. We see the same faces every morning. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk about the weather. Other days it's a mess of paperwork and phone calls. We don't have a website or anything like that, just this physical spot in Gadchiroli where the work happens. It’s practical work for real people. We know the soil around here and what it needs. Sometimes the power goes out and we just wait it out. It’s just how life goes in this part of the country.
