Hiwarkhed Crop Growers Producer Company Limited is based out of Hiwarkhed in the Morshi area. We are located right at Ward No. 1, at Nandakishor Bhimraoji Tidke’s place. It’s a local operation through and through. The people who run it are the same people you see out in the fields every day. We decided to form this company so we could have a more organized way of dealing with our harvests. Hiwarkhed is a place where everyone knows the value of hard work and a good rain. Our office isn't much to look at, just a room where we keep our logs and meet to discuss the season. There’s usually a pot of tea going and some talk about the market rates in Morshi. We handle various crops, mostly whatever is doing well in our specific climate. It’s a lot of coordination, making sure the trucks are ready when the produce is. Sometimes we have to deal with pests or bad weather, which can throw a wrench in the plans. We don't use any big words or complicated systems. It’s just about getting the crops from the ground to the buyer as efficiently as we can. Being a producer company means we're all working for each other's benefit. It’s a humble setup, but it works for us and the other growers in the village. We’re just trying to keep the traditions of Hiwarkhed going while making the business side a bit smoother for everyone involved.
