Down here in Wathoda, which is part of the Amravati area, we’ve got Bhatukali Parisar Farmers Producer set up at house number 1307. It’s a small place, nothing like those big companies you see in the city. We are just local people trying to make a living off the land we’ve known all our lives. Amravati has its own way of doing things, and we fit right into that. Usually, the day starts early before the sun gets too hot to handle. We walk the rows, check the soil, and talk about what the next few months will bring. Our address is easy to find if you know the Wathoda area well enough. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to get our crops sorted and sold fairly. Sometimes the trucks are late or the seeds don’t sprout like they should, but that’s just farming for you. It’s a lot of physical labor and a fair bit of worrying about the weather. We share what we know and help the younger guys who are just starting out. There’s no secret to what we do. It’s just honest work under the big Maharashtra sky. We’ve been here a long time and we don't plan on going anywhere else. The soil here is what we know best, so we just keep at it every single day.
