Babhulgaonmahila Farmer Producer Company Limited

Over here in Babhalgaon, Parbhani, we started Babhulgaonmahila Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are a group of women who farm this land, and we operate out of Shri Keshav Nivrutti’s place. Parbhani is where we belong, and we’ve been working these fields for as long as we can remember. Forming this company was a way for us to get a bit more organized with our crops. We don't have a fancy setup with air conditioning or big signs. It’s just a practical place for us to meet and figure out the logistics of our farming. We talk about seed types, the price of diesel, and how the monsoon is looking this year. It’s simple, everyday stuff. Most of our time is spent outdoors, not in an office. We have to deal with the heat and the hard physical labor that comes with the job. Being in the 431506 area, we are part of a small community where everyone knows everyone else’s business. We try to help each other when things get difficult. There aren't any corporate managers here, just us local women making decisions for our own crops and futures. Sometimes we have to learn things the hard way, through trial and error. But we stay practical and keep our eyes on the work. It’s a grounded life, focused on the harvest and making sure we can support our families through our collective efforts here in Babhalgaon.
