At House No 1 in Madhopur, Fakharpur, we have set up the Sunetra Farmer Producer Company Limited. It is the home of Abhishek Kumar Shukla, and it serves as our main point of contact for everything we do. Madhopur is a small village where life follows the cycle of the crops. We don't have a big sign or a fancy office suite. It is just a regular house where we gather to talk about the farming business. Most of our days are spent out in the fields or traveling between different farms in Fakharpur. When we are at the house, we are usually filling out forms or talking to farmers who have come by with questions. It’s a very hands-on way of working. We don't have a marketing budget or a fancy website. We just have our names and our reputation in the village. The sun can be quite brutal here, so we do most of our heavy work early in the morning. By the afternoon, we are usually back at Abhishek’s place, going over the numbers and making sure everything is in order. It is a modest operation, but it works for us. We know the people here and we know the land. Sunetra Farmer Producer Company Limited is just a group of us trying to make the most of what we grow.
