Mangalayatan University

Mangalayatan University is out here on the Mathura- Aligarh Highway. If you are driving, you just look for the 33rd Milestone and you'll see the gate. It is a bit of a way out from the main cities, which makes it quiet. We have a lot of buildings and open spaces. People walk back and forth between classes all day long. The sun can get really hot on the highway, but once you get inside the shade of the buildings, it is much better. I have been working here for a while now. You see a lot of students coming from different places across the state. Some stay in the hostels, while others take the bus every morning. The Extended NCR area is growing, but it still feels like the countryside in some parts. We have some trees planted along the walkways, though they take time to grow big. There is always someone fixing a pipe or painting a wall somewhere on campus. It is a big place to look after for the maintenance crew. We don't have all the flashy stuff you might see in a modern city center, but the labs and classrooms have what is needed to get the job done. The wind blows pretty hard across the highway sometimes in the winter. You get used to the sound of the traffic in the distance. It is just a place where people come to learn and we try to keep things running for everyone who shows up.
