Amb Academy

Amb Academy is located right near the Dhanipur Mandi on G.T. Road. It’s a pretty loud spot because of all the trucks and the market activity nearby, but we’ve gotten used to the noise over the years. We mostly focus on helping students get through their exams and learn the stuff they might have missed in school. The classrooms are simple—just desks, chairs, and whiteboards. We don’t have any high-tech gadgets or anything like that. We just sit down and go through the books. The G.T. Road is always busy, so there’s a lot of dust that comes in through the windows if we leave them open. Most of our days are spent checking homework and explaining the same math problems or grammar rules until they stick. It’s not a glamorous job, but it feels okay when a student finally understands something they were struggling with. We started this because we realized a lot of kids in this part of town needed a bit of extra help outside of their regular classes. There’s no big administration here, just a couple of us who know the subjects. We drink a lot of tea between sessions to keep our voices going. It’s a straightforward place where the main goal is just to help the local kids do a bit better for themselves. We try to keep things focused so the students actually learn something useful before they head home.
