C.B. Gupta Saraswati Vidyapeeth

Our school is on the Singharpur Mathura Road in Aligarh. It is a busy road with a lot of trucks and cars going past at all hours. The school itself has a big gate that keeps the noise out a little bit. We have a big open space in the middle where the students gather every morning for their prayers. It can get quite cold here in the winter, so the kids come wrapped up in their sweaters and scarves. Aligarh is a place where people really value education, and you can see that in how the parents talk to us. They want their kids to do well in life. The building is made of brick and has several different wings for the classes. We have some trees on the grounds that give a bit of shade when it is hot outside. The classrooms have the usual benches and chairs. Some are a bit old and creaky, but they do the job just fine. We have a library that stays quite busy during the afternoons when the older students are there. Our teachers are mostly local people who have lived in Aligarh for a long time. They understand the families here. There isn't anything very flashy about the place. We do not have a marketing team writing stuff for us. We just manage the classes and look after the building. Sometimes we have to fix a leak or paint a wall. It is just the normal work.
