Royal Watch & Mobile

Royal Watch & Mobile is at number 44 on Kutcheri Road. It’s an interesting mix because we do both watches and mobile phones. My father started with the watches years ago. He used to sit with his magnifying glass for hours. I brought in the mobile phone side of things later on. Now the shop is split. One side has the old ticking clocks and leather straps, and the other side has the smartphones and plastic cases. It’s a bit crowded inside Kutcheri Road 44. We have these old wooden cabinets that have been here forever. They creak when you open them. The street outside is usually full of lawyers and people going to the courts. It’s a serious crowd, but they all need their watches fixed or their phones charged just like anyone else. I handle the screens and the software mostly. My dad still does the watch batteries when his eyes are feeling up to it. We don't have a lot of fancy decorations. Just the stuff we sell and the tools we use. It’s a quiet kind of shop despite being on a main road. People like that they can get two things done at once here. I’ve lived in this neighborhood all my life, so I know most of the regulars. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop on the block. We just like doing the work right and keeping the doors open for anyone.
