Bhagwan Watch House & Mobiles

Bhagwan Watch House & Mobiles is located on Station Road in the Main Market area. It is an interesting mix because we have the old-style watches on one side and the modern mobile phones on the other. You can hear the ticking of the wall clocks behind the counter while we are trying to fix a software issue on a smartphone. My father started with watches, but as things changed, we had to start bringing in phones and accessories too. It is a bit of a family tradition to sit here and work on these small mechanical things. We have rows of watch straps hanging next to the mobile charging cables. The Main Market is always full of people, so we see a lot of different faces every day. Some people bring in very old wristwatches that have been in their family for years, and we try our best to find the right tiny battery or a spring that fits. Other times, someone has smashed their phone screen and they are in a big hurry to get it fixed before their workday ends. We have a small glass display for the new phones, but it’s mostly a place for repairs. The shop has that old smell of oil and dust, which is something you don't find in the newer stores. We just keep things moving as best as we can.
